Hello, this is reception desk, how may I help you? I have said time and time again, many of you don't even have an iota of an idea in relation to the English you speak.
Hello, Utility company, I owe monies already, already daunting task thinking of how to pay you and you are asking me how can you help me? I am very sure, you can't help me but you can assist me, my fresh green brains tells me, when I finish my story at the end of the conversation, you last statement will be, sorry, I can't help you, so, why do you even begin the conversation with "how may I help you".
The courtesy code for big companies, how do we explain or understand help here, if you can help me, why don't you take off all the bills owed to you, sounds like a lot of mind games going on and people seem not to care, you owe a bank and how can they help you? Will shed more insight into this as well.
Just because I appear to believe your bullshit doesn't mean I'm as stupid as you think I am. I am just laughing inside and waiting to see what else YOU come up with.

My First Time Ever (Taking My Own Food With Me To Visit Someone)
Haha, too many connotations are drawn from where I come from, if you dare ever bring your own food to visit someone. In that instance, I will hear my one and only Aunt Betty screaming loud, how dare you my nephew? What have you grown up to become? Are you trying to send a signal that, you don't trust me anymore, or you won't eat in my home for fear of me poisoning you or you just don't like my food anymore? I will respectfully try to explain to Aunt, but she won't listen, look at him, I used to bath you, educated you and today you are coming to lecture me on food sharing, it is the same kind of food that was used to raise you, she will go on, what is food? Close that ugly bag of yours and eat from home, that African culture for you.
My son, no matter how much poor I am, you know you can always eat from my home, what will I say then? This is what I picked up traveling, she will respond, you must be joking, get out and she will have the right to ex-communicate me and I will certainly lose her blessings. She might not have enough money but with food, there will always be food.
Mates, l was taken over the roof, when I first got here and my ex took me to visit my mother in law, she had to prepare food for days to take with us, I kept asking, why are you making all this food? She goes like, we have to bring food with us, ah, but you are going to visit your own mother. But ex, you visited my land for six solid weeks, I took you to lots of places, I had no food with me, everywhere I took you to and introduced you, it was merry making, you were served plenty varieties food and asked constantly if you wanted drinks.
Well, not knowing it's different here in your land as you never mentioned, in a poor man's land, when you visit someone, you need not bring anything e.g. food, damn, imagining me on a public transport back home with all the seats dancing to the tunes of the road carrying my food to visit even a friend, that will be extremely audacious, very clear, in a poor man's world, food is abundant and in a rich man's world, it's not, you need to bring your own.
If I have to bring my own food to your house to share or eat, why don't I sit in my own home and eat, why do I have to transport myself and my food? A conclusion many will come to draw with me. To Be Cont.

The Cola That Cleans and Washes Car Engines
Still a newbie here in this Country, I like trying other stuff when it comes to food and drinks. I also know I have to save money if I want to go back home visiting every now and then because there's a place called Home. It is in this regard that I live very cheap, making sure, I always buy the cheap stuff, luckily for me, they have something here by name the homemade brand meaning made locally and cheap or which doesn't go well even with the average class, to me personally, I come from a Country where one is fortunate to even have any choice at all, let alone, thinking of choosing anything, I grew up knowing bread is bread and egg is egg, it blows me away to find out, there's about fifty different types of eggs here which doesn't bother me one bit because all the fingers aren't equal. I mean I rather live poor and clean than to live rich and corrupt tainted with lies.
I recently bought one of these homemade drinks by name Cola, my ex partner and her friend were making fun of me as to how it's believed the mechanics here uses that type of drink to wash car engines. I laughed it off, they seemed pretty serious though, laughing out loud, and I said, wow, you guys have a Cola drink here that cleans and washes engines and it's being sold on the shelves, how strange is that? I told them, to me, I don't see anything wrong with it, it might not be good for them but might be good for me as I am saving money and not living like them, "their meat might be my poison and their poison might be my meat", but guess what? They are part of the people complaining about the latest cuts in the budget.

Speak The Truth
Very grateful and very appreciative to this great masterpiece, as a child growing up in an open society/community, where faces were so familiar to the extent, it discerned on us some sense of security as everybody knows everybody, neighbors knowing neighbors, cordially sending a sense of guilt when a neighbor throws a party and doesn't invite the other neighbor, why was is it so beautiful back then and even to date? The reason is, in case of any immediate help or emergency, neighbors calls on their neighbors to help not the rest of friends living twenty hours away from you.
Community sharing in regards to respecting anyone who is older than you, anyone older than you can discipline another to do the right thing, they don't have to be your parents before listening to them, if you don't listen and run telling your parents you have disrespected an elderly person, you parents will have to walk you to the elderly person, investigate the matter, if the child was wrong which was always the case, discipline is meted out to this child from the parents right in front of the elderly person, if not apologies are rendered to the elderly person which will eventually lead to the two adults who just met because of that incident becoming friends.
I was bashed, whipped and told many times to always speak the truth and respect my elders, little did I know, growing up will be very different speaking the truth just as my parents taught me and realizing speaking the truth will rather land me in trouble and bring me an enemies.
Did my parents, elders and all the community leaders tell me the truth? Guess no, personally, they turned the story around, reason why, there's no truth in this world. Very difficult to keep track of all those who speak and tell the truth, they are always on the run or either getting killed in mysterious ways. The world today thrives on lies. I guess, you keep on dreaming, don't wake me up, if it's a lie, don't tell me the truth, because what the truth will do is going to hurt my heart.
Where are those who speak the TRUTH?

The System of Lies
- Please, and please again, when I speak/talk to you for the first time on phone and I haven't met you in person face to face, stop short of saying on the phone at the end of the conversation "nice to meet me" please, you haven't met me anywhere yet, as we just spoke on phone, I will very much appreciate it being put "Nice to talk to you" telling me, nice meeting me, personally, sounds a bit scary as we haven't met drawing my attention to reality wondering if we have ever, met. That is a clear case of imposing a misleading belief upon me trying to deceive or fool me, which is unlikely as my strong African brains wouldn't be alluding to the fact that we've met.
- Another cruel, unkind and sarcastic phrase is when people lament, I will like to get to know you or I want to get to know you. Keep these unjust expressions to yourselves when you meet me, because you will never, ever get to know me. Does anyone knows how long it takes to get to know anyone? You think you knew me well and better all this while after two decades, something happens and you go saying, oh. I thought I knew him/her. Thanks to Employers and others who doesn't have to mark around long years to get to know us, just by reading some sheet of paper with words, they just have to give us the benefits of doubts.
- This is the silly English spoken all around and you think its cool because you grew up speaking it.

Living In The Pacific (Lets see what pictures I can share from this part of the World)
The pictures of Africa and more-so Ghana shouldnt be playing in anyone's mind as a form of hasty generalization or some sort of judgmental conclusion. I have photo blogged these images to depict the how some of us and all those in the struggle have to go through everyday to survive. It's crazy out there but we survive it everyday as long as there's a dark night, there is always a brighter day.
In the face of such everyday struggles, the people still display enough courage and multitude of happiness.
I will continue the photo blogging from this part of the world establishing the contrasts and differences in everyday life.
Northern and Southern Hemisphere (old blog)
Relaxing on both sides of The Northern and Southern Hemisphere.
It was interesting to touch and play around the Equator
Coca - Cola With Open Happiness (old blog)
Happy to note that Coca Cola is aware, in the midst of all the everyday struggles in Africa, there's still an open happiness. This is the Kampala Bus Station where I boarded a bus on my way to Lake Mburo.
I love the names at the top of the buses "IBABU and KIBUNGO"

Animal Rights Activists and Toyota Headed For A Clash in Ghana (old blog)
I was driving behind this Toyota Land Cruiser in 2009 back home, It was a 3 hour journey back to the capital. This Land Cruiser is en-route to the Capital as well after some sort of initiative or program (can tell from the loud speakers on top of the car) in the Country side what we normally call village, with those animals tied up, animals will travel same distance tied up on top of this car. We can picture clearly and see a tow bar at the back of the Land Cruiser, people back home hardly uses it, today living here, I have seen the essence of tow bars. Lets see how the Animal Rights Activists and Toyota will clash, sure, Toyota will recall it's car and the animal rights activists will file for abuses.
Car, Motorcycle and Human Traffic (old blog)
Do you think you have encountered the craziest and the worst car, motorcycle and human traffic? Don't even think of an answer till you visit Kampala. Any words to describe this? Survive here, survive anywhere, where are the helmets? We not even talking safety here, we talking real survival.
Fines, infringements and offences, whatever you call it, that's fine, but ain't no addresses.to send
